Our backGroud Story

The Heroes and Heroines of Peace and Unity Initiative (HEPUI) NGO is a non governmental, non political and non religious organization. The initiative is statutorily recognized as an incorporated Trustees (IT) in Nigeria on 25th of January, 2016 and accorded the registration number CAC/IT/No 84203 and has also undergone registration with Ministry of Budget and National Planning MBNP/NGO/IC/S.890/1, and with the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) Special Control Unity Against Money Laundering (SCUML) RN: SC 008654,

This patriotic peace and Unity Initiative whose sole aim is to serve national interest had been initially lead by the president of ARPON AIG Steven A. Aiyewumi late. The NGO has three Board Members as BoT Edim Michael Agbor; Chairman held from Cross River State, Alheri Ayuba; Bauchi State and Thomas Ogar Cross River State.

The said organization was inaugurated on the 1st of August, 2016 by the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) as a National Working Group Member on Policy Framework and National Action Plan for Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism in Nigeria.

The HEPUI NGO which has seven (7) years working experience with government agencies and non governmental organization had been privilege to participate in a 3-Day Conflict Prevention and Peace Building Workshop for Civil Society Organization ( C$O’s) in Nigeria organize by Institute for Peace and Conflict Resolution (IPCR) in Collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) on 15th August, 2017 held  in Kaduna State.

However, on the 7th of March, 2018 the HEPUI NGO inaugurated the Training Manual on Initial Peace and Security Research Exercise (IPSRE) in Honour of the National Security Adviser (NSA), Retired, Man. Gen. Babagana Monguno, at Merit Award House, Maitama, Abuja – Nigeria

The initiative through her Neighborhood gathering strategy has trained well over five hundred Nigerians on the concept of Home Security Laboratory (HSL) and her burning desire to quell the atrocity visited on the country by terrorist groups and other forms of social vices is the reason for the demand to include HSL into the police structure.
